Anyhow, trying to stay positive but it's pretty rough let me tell you. When the kids are home it throws my schedule all off in terms of exercise. I got up and had a few peaceful moments to myself with my cup of coffee (An absolute MUST), made myself one of my typical breakfasts: 2 eggs with salsa and dry whole wheat toast. Thhhheeeennnn the kids wanted sausage and potatoes LOL So naturally, I took a bite here and there and probably ended up consuming an entire portion size. :( I haven't worked out yet, it is 5:42 pm, my husband will be home in a few hours and I feel drained!
That's it, rather than sit here and dwell on all the negatives I am going to go over to trusty ol' pinterest and gather some motivation, make dinner, clean the dishes and while the kids are eating do my cardio.
I know yesterday I said today I would introduce you to PUSH, but with the day I've had...it's not likely lol Perhaps if I get the kids off to bed on time and the hubby isn't home yet and everything is done, I'll bring my ass back here and lay it out. If not I'll catch you up tomorrow!

This is a typical challenge in any routine - it's called life happens. You will soon build up a resilience, but in the meantime don't beat yourself up because guilt and stress causes the body to store fat (fact). Just relax and do your best each and every day. If one day is blah, then pick up the next one. Keep moving forward... you can and WILL do it! GO JENN!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the positive reinforcement! Much needed!!! :)
ReplyDeleteMy midwife is making me write down everything I eat in a food diary...and its kinda embarassing because I realized how much of my kids food I eat. I feel bad cause they don't eat everything on their plates, so, I feel the need to eat a least a little of it or else I am waisting food. Maybe a food log will help you too...I am sitting here on my 3rd peice of Bday cake in 2 days. I dont want to write them down in that darn food diary, I know she wont hold it against me or anything...just that im kinda embrassed that I did it. LOL!! Thats just an idea...I am thinking its could kinda work because you want to keep a food log to be proud of instead of one that has 3 peices of Bday cake.
ReplyDeleteJen, you may be on to something here. I mean I have a WW account where I log my food intake, but I don't ever include bites that I take here and there (kids food, while cooking, etc) and if I did I am sure they amount to a lot more calories than I assume they are. Not only that, if I were to have to show it to someone I would probably be embarrassed LOL With that said, I think I will keep an actual journal, handwritten that maybe I can show Marcus each night. Because who wants to show their husband that they eat like a slob??? LOL Thanks for the idea <3
